Christmas Recap 2009

Merry Christmas everybody!! Hope you all had a good one! Christmas was awesome this year….busy…but awesome.I really couldn't’t have asked for a better Christmas. I was able to spend several days with loved ones, including close friends. I am still completely stuffed from numerous hearty-home cooked meals and Christmas Cookies. And I must of have been good this year, because my stocking was not full of coal:I got a sewing machine, so watch out for blogs about what I crafting. Oh, and go see Avatar…It is so worth it. I felt the story or plot lacked a bit, but the unbelievably crazy special effects made up for it.I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and Santa was good to you. And I hope everyone took it easy on their back with the wet, heavy, and icy holiday snowfall. Here are the pictures to prove that our Christmas was so awesome!

More Christams Fun!

This past weekend Lawson was sick with strep. We didn't get out the house from Thursday till Sunday. So on Sunday we all had a little cabin fever. I thought it would be a great idea to go to Bass Pro during the Cowboy game so nobody would be there to see Santa. Apparently lots of people thought the same thing. It was a complete mad house. We got our fast pass and did the centers and the carousel and still had a hour in half till it was our turn to get in line to see Santa. So we left and went over to Grapevine Mills and feed the kids and did a little shopping. Then we finally returned back to Bass Pro for our turn to wait in line. Man, this is not a fun Christmas memory. Anyway we can now check off the list to see Santa.

On Tuesday was Lawson's Christmas Program at LHS. He didn't mess up any of the words to the song. Well, maybe that because he didn't sing at all. He just stood up there and did a few of the hand motions. The rest of the time he kept trying to see what thing they stuck on his head for the song. It was still cute and entertaining for the family. Then after the program Santa came out. Well, Brylie figure out a couple of years back that he was not the real one but instead Mr. Richard (AKA Santa's Helper) She was glad he has a connections so she could tell him what she left off when she saw the real Santa.

Let the Holiday fun begin!

On Tuesday the kids and I had off. So Nana and Daddy also took off and we headed to The Gaylord Texan Ice. I have been wanting to go since it open a few years back but never made it to this awesome event. I was not sure what it had in store or if the kids would like it? Well, the kids just loved it and Lawson would not stop running up the steps and sliding over and over again. This was a great family memory we made. Ice is in one part of the Gaylord and it is 9 dgrees inside. The ice exhibit was made by 100 China men that flew over here just to create this awesome exhibit. It took them 32 days. I still don't get how they did what they did, what talent. I so would hate to work in those cool condictions and shape ice. That would be way too cold for me. I hope this family memory, we made at Ice stays with my kids and that we will be able to return again each year. Now let's start this holiday season and stay tune for more pictures and updates on what the Sandfam will be doing this holiday season.

Feast of Fun

On Friday Lawson and I joined Brylie's class for their Thanksgiving feast. They made both costumes and then they could deiced which one they wanted to be. Brylie deiced she would be both. So if you look closely you can see the Indian vest and Pilgrim hat and collar. I tried telling her to just wear on but NO, that not what she wanted to do. They did a few poems and a few songs then the feast was on. It was fun and very entertaining.

Opening Weekend

Here are some pictures of Lawson with Daddy's ATV helmet. Daddy was loading up while Lawson was playing. Lawson only wishes he was old enough to join Daddy for this fun weekend.

Here comes the Big Bad Wolf

So since Brylie already had the Little Red Riding Hood costume, I thought it would be too cute to have Lawson as the Big Bad Wolf. I looked and looked and tried to come up with a way to make my own costume. I told my wonderful mother-in-law about my idea and how I could not come up with anything. She emailed me this week and told me not to worry because she had made an wolf costume. I was so excited and then I saw this cute outfit and was even more excited. Nana you are the greatest! Thanks again for the cute outfits and for the great pictures. I am truly blessed with the most amazing mother-in-law. So here are my cuties in costume. In these pictures you might notice Brylie takes her role serious. What can I say she is my lil model.LOL

Look who lost her 1st tooth!

Brylie has had a lose tooth for sometime now. She would not let anyone touch it. Today while getting ready for school I told her I really needed to pull her tooth so she would not lose it at school. I knew that it would be drama I didn't need in my life. She was so pumped when we pulled it. We had to text the grandparents and a few friends because it was 7:30 in the morning. Matt asked her after school what she was going to do with her tooth. She told him the tooth fairy was going to come and bring her $25 bucks! Brylie then just died laughing. I must say it was a priceless expression on her Daddy's face. Yet another milestone for this year. It getting so hard these days watching my baby grow up!
